Jolie Friedrich, Park Naturalist Supervisor, with City of Jacksonville Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department, will discuss local beach-nesting birds, how to identify them, what makes each species unique, and how we can help protect them. Northeast Florida sees a variety of coastal birds year-round, and while they are often overlooked, each species has an interesting life history. Join us for Wild Nites to learn where you can see these captivating species, what constitutes a Critical Wildlife Area, and gain a better appreciation of Florida's nature. Jolie has worked for Jacksonville Parks for eight years and shares her passion for wildlife conservation through fieldwork, nature center exhibits, and environmental education. She is currently a graduate student in the field of wildlife forensics.
