Facilities / Rental Areas 

The Parks & Recreation Department is comprised of three main "centers" and two indoor sports/fitness facilities, as well as numerous parks and outdoor sports facilities.  Normal operating hours for the recreation centers and indoor sports/fitness facilities are:

  • Atlantic Recreation Center*:  Monday-Friday from 7:00am-7:00pm, Saturday from 8:00am-4:00pm.
  • Martin Luther King, Jr. Center*:  Monday-Friday from 9:00am-6:00pm
  • Peck Center*:  Monday-Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm
  • Coach Nelson P. Williams, Jr./Peck Gymnasium*:  Monday-Friday from 11:00am-7:00pm (extended hours on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays for evening programs)
  • Atlantic Fitness Room* (at the Atlantic Recreation Center):  Monday-Friday from 7:00am-7:00pm, Saturday from 8:00am-4:00pm
*These centers/facilities are closed on the following observed City Holidays: New Year's Day; Martin Luther King Day; Good Friday; Memorial Day; Juneteenth; Independence Day; Labor Day; Veterans' Day; Thanksgiving; Day After Thanksgiving; Christmas Eve; and Christmas Day.

  • Martin Luther King, Jr. Recreation Center - Patricia A. Thompson Auditorium; Pavilions #1, #2, and #3
  • Peck Center - Willie Mae Ashley Peck Auditorium; Instructors Studio
  • Coach Nelson P. Williams, Jr./Peck Gym - Open Gym Area (basketball court; 2 volleyball courts)
  • Eugene Richo Field - Pavilion; Open/Green Space
  • Central Park - Pavilion; Open/Green Space
  • Egans Creek Park - Open/Green Space; Pavilion 
  • Hickory Street Park - Open/Green Space
  • Sunrise Park - Open/Green Space
  • Seaside Park - Pavilions #1, #2, and #3
  • North Beach Park - Pavilions #1 and #2
  • Main Beach Park - Pavilions A, B, and C; Open/Green Space (Picnic Shelters #4, #5, #6, #7, #8, and #9 are first come, first serve; they are not available for rental)
  • Fernandina Beach Athletic Complex (Ybor Alvarez Athletic Complex) - Ybor Alvarez Softball Fields #1, #2, and #3
