Go to the website www.fernandinabeach.fl.govern.com to search for any occupant in Bosque Bello Cemetery. Type last and first names, click "Search," and a personal page will appear for the occupant. You may submit additional genealogical information on this page as well. The "Locate Map" tab will give you a representation of the location within Bosque Bello. Zoom in to see exact lot location. Contact the Atlantic Recreation Center at 904-310-3350 for availability and fees for half-day (up to 4 hours) and full-day (up to 8 hours) rentals of indoor facilities and outdoor areas. Rental fees are also determined by the type of rental: private; commercial; or non-profit. Payment of a refundable damage deposit is required for all rentals and must be paid at time of inquiry to reserve a facility or outdoor area for rental. Rental fees are also able to be viewed in the "Facilities / Rental Rates" link on the Parks & Recreation Department home page.
They are on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month (excluding observed City holidays). Register for these tours at least 24 hours in advance at the Atlantic Recreation Center (to register by phone, call 904-310-3350). Fees: $5 per adult, $3 per child age 12 and under. A bus departs from the Atlantic Center on the day of the tours at 10:00am to transport people to the Lighthouse.
The Parks & Recreation Department has two fitness facilities. The Atlantic Fitness Room is located at the Atlantic Recreation Center (904-310-3350), 2500 Atlantic Avenue, and the Peck Gym Weight Room/Cardio Area is located at Peck Gym (904-310-3354), 510 South 10th Street. Daily fees and monthly memberships are valid at both facilities. Hours vary at both facilities. Free use of outdoor fitness equipment is available at Egans Creek Park, 2201 Atlantic Avenue. You may buy a key for $20.00 at the Atlantic Recreation Center (Monday-Friday 7:00am-7:00pm, Saturday 8:00am-4:00pm).
The Parks & Recreation Department offers preschool (ages 3 and 4), afterschool (kindergarten - 5th grade), and summer programs (going into kindergarten - going into 6th grade) at the Atlantic Recreation Center, and we offer an afterschool tutoring program and summer learning program (both programs for City residents only, ages 5 - 12) at the MLK, Jr. Recreation Center on Elm Street.
Fort Clinch is located at the northeast end of Amelia Island, at 2601 Atlantic Avenue, just east of the Atlantic Recreation Center (2500 Atlantic Avenue) and three blocks west of Main Beach. Centre Street is the main road that serves the historic downtown area and runs east to west from A1A/SR 200 (8th Street) west to the Fernandina Beach Marina and Amelia River.
